This is the Wiki for user and developer documentation about the [[http://www.rosegardenmusic.com/|Rosegarden]] audio and MIDI sequencer and notation editor.

Note that developer pages are in the "dev:" namespace, formal project documentation is in the "doc:" namespace, and pages for translators are in the "translator:" namespace.  General user pages do not have any particular namespace; call them whatever you like.

== Foreword ==
Like much of the documentation in the open source world, a lot of this information is starting to show signs of serious neglect.  It is a very big job trying to keep up with a FOSS project as it evolves through time.  A collection of documentation never quite gets finished in time for some particular release, and as time goes on, more and more new features do not get proper documentation, older stubs are never completed, old information is never updated, and the whole thing just becomes a ragged, incomplete, inconsistent mess.

It's depressing, but it is what it is.  I don't know how to fix it.  I am merely lamenting that fact that you shouldn't expect too much from the documentation you are about to discover here.
